Cook Read Look Good


It was a beautiful day yesterday. Lots of sun (the rainbow in the picture is from a different day though, but it is beautiful too).

5. Healthy cooking – raisin & cinnamon baked oatmeal

Oatmeal recipe: adopted for iron heroes
•3 cups old fashioned oats
•3/4 cup sugar or substitute
•2 teaspoons baking powder
•1/2 teaspoon salt
•2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
•2 eggs
•1 cup milk
•1/2 cup apple butter
•Additional milk for serving
Raisings
1/2 measuring cup flavorless protein powder

Directions
•Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine oats, sugar substitute or sugar, baking powder, salt, protein powder and cinnamon. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk and apple sauce. Stir into oat mixture until blended. Add raisins.
•Spoon into a greased 9-in. square baking pan. Bake 45 minutes. Serve warm with milk.
