Inspiration can be found everywhere – in nature, good books, good art, and never really stops. Designers may find it in clear lines of geometry. In turn, built objects become an inspiration for artists. Somebody else sees them and, transforming according to his view, creates a new design piece. And thus, the chain goes on.
I saw this Small Copper Spica by Iacoli & McAllister, a pendant named after the brightest star in the Virgo constellation, intricate with its interconnected lines but in the same time very minimalistic. I just flattened the form of it and cut out of pepper, added horizon and the whole collage resembled a sunset to me.
